Tennessee hoops’ Saturday matchup with Alabama now has a tipoff time. The Vols will host the Crimson Tide at 6 p.m. ET on ESPN, an Orange Out inside Food City Center as Tennessee looks for their sixth straight win against the Tide.

The two teams last met on Jan. 24 in Tuscaloosa, where Tennessee earned a 79-73 victory behind one of the best road performances of the season for the Vols. Alabama, now 20-7 (10-4 SEC) is expected to arrive in Knoxville riding a seven-game win streak if it takes care of Mississippi State at home on Wednesday night. Nate Oats’ squad will be looking to avenge that late-January loss and strengthen its SEC title push.

Tennessee enters the week also at 20-7 (9-4 SEC) after a gritty 69-65 road win at Vanderbilt on Saturday. The Vols now have won eight of their last nine and will travel to Columbia on Tuesday to face a desperate Missouri team fighting to stay on the bubble. A win there would move Tennessee to 16-2 over its last 18 games heading into the weekend.

Saturday’s matchup carries major weight in the SEC standings, with both teams trending upwards as we get into the last week of February.
