The Vols are recruiting the Garden State, once again.

Tennessee extended an offer to 2027 New Jersey wide receiver Austin Busso on Thursday following his unofficial visit to Knoxville, the three‑star prospect announced on social media.

The trip marked Busso’s first time on Rocky Top and the Vols made their move quick.

Busso, currently unranked by 247Sports, has seen his recruitment surge this spring. He now holds 20‑plus offers, including Tennessee, West Virginia, and SMU. The 5‑foot‑11, 160‑pound receiver from Oradell (NJ) picked up his first SEC offer from the Vols, which resonated with the young man.

“The offer means a lot, especially because it’s my first SEC offer,” Busso told Rivals. “Also the program and coach it’s coming from is amazing.”

Busso has emerged as one of the more intriguing skill‑position prospects in the Northeast, with an elite burst that can absolutely play in the SEC.

His spring schedule is far from over. Busso is set to visit Syracuse, James Madison, and South Florida in the coming weeks before turning his attention to planning summer official visits.

With Tennessee continuing to cast a wide net in the 2027 class, Busso becomes another name to watch as the Vols look to continue their recruiting momentum in the 2027 cycle.
