Tennessee and Baylor Set for December Neutral Site Meeting in Nashville

NASHVILLE – Tennessee and Baylor have scheduled a neutral site contest at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on December 18, 2026. The matchup will mark the ninth meeting between the programs, with the Bears holding a 6-2 advantage and winning the past 6 games in the series. The most recent matchup came on December 4, 2016 in Knoxville for the Big 12/SEC Challenge, where Baylor was victorious with an 88-66 win.
Coach Kim Caldwell enters year 3 on Rocky Top following a turbulent second season that saw Tennessee finish 16-14 overall and 8-8 in SEC play. The Lady Vols ended the year on an 8 game losing streak, including a 76-61 loss to NC State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
A full roster overhaul commenced in the offseason, with Caldwell and her staff assembling an entirely new 15 player roster made up of 13 transfers and 2 freshmen as the program resets heading into the 2026-27 season.
A tip time for the December matchup in Nashville has not yet been announced.
