Pope Leo Presented with Tennessee Football Jersey at Vatican

By Aidan Sidoti

Tennessee is really pulling out all the stops ahead of Saturday’s showdown with Georgia.

This past Wednesday, Pope Leo XIV was presented with a Tennessee Volunteers football jersey by Speaker of the House Cameron Sexton during a brief ceremony at the Vatican.

Perhaps the Pope would be interested in being the guest picker on College Gameday Saturday morning?

That would be absolutely biblical.

Sure, Georgia MAY be a more talented team than Tennessee, but they’ve never lined up against a team with papal backing.

I’m no ‘Money Monster’ like Jon Reed, but oh my lord– I might have to throw my entire month’s rent on Tennessee moneyline Saturday afternoon.

The Vols sit at No. 15 in the latest AP Poll and will host No. 7 Georgia at Neyland Stadium Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

The Dawgs might need every possible advantage they can get.
