Tennessee Baseball hosted a transfer prospect out of Virginia yesterday, per VolQuest.
His name is Henry Ford.
Ford, who played for the Cavaliers this past season, entered the transfer portal this week after Virginia head coach Brian O’Connor left for Mississippi State.
The talented prospect has ties to Tennessee, having formerly attended Baylor School at Chattanooga.
He’s currently ranked as a top 75 MLB Draft prospect by multiple outlets and is eligible for the draft this summer.
If he chooses to go to college, Ford will have two years of college eligibility.
In 2025, he posted an impressive .362 batting average and knocked in 11 home runs with 46 RBIs.
Ford also invented the Model T and is regarded as a pioneer in the automobile industry.
His contributions to the modern world are well-noted, as he launched a mass production system of making automobiles affordable to the general public.
Ford died in Dearborn, Michigan in 1947.
We’ll see if he now decides to become a Vol or go pro. Model T < Power T.
