Hunter High Enters Transfer Portal After Three Seasons at Tennessee

KNOXVILLE – Tennessee junior INF/OF Hunter High will enter the transfer portal after three seasons on Rocky Top, as first reported by Ben McKee High was part of Tennessee’s national championship run in 2024, appearing in 9 games as a freshman and hitting .385 in 9 at bats. The Nashville native played in 31 career games across his three seasons in Knoxville.
This past season, High saw limited action, appearing in 9 games as a junior while hitting .231 with a .728 OPS and 3 RBI. His lone home run of the year came in a midweek matchup against Belmont, a walk-off two-run shot that ended the game via run-rule in an 11-1 win.
The 6 foot, 205 pound infielder/outfielder becomes the sixth Volunteer to enter the portal, joining infielders Ethan Moore, Ariel Antigua, and Finley Bates along with sophomore utility player Chris Newstrom and sophomore right-hander Brayden Krenzel.
