Lady Vols freshman guard Deniya Prawl entered the transfer portal Monday, as first reported by ESPN’s Andraya Carter. After just one season in Knoxville, the 6‑foot‑2, Top‑20 recruit in the class of 2025 and former McDonald’s All‑American will be on the move.
Prawl averaged just 4.0 points and 2.7 rebounds in 15.5 minutes per game during her freshman campaign. The Toronto native closed her Tennessee career with one of her strongest outings of the season, posting 9 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist in 18 minutes during the Lady Vols’ 76-61 first‑round NCAA Tournament loss to NC State.
Her departure marks the first roster domino of what is expected to be a busy offseason in Knoxville. After finishing 16-14 in Kim Caldwell’s third year, Tennessee is anticipated to undergo significant roster turnover as the staff reshapes the program for 2026 and beyond.
