Danny White, as expected, is going with a national search to find the next head baseball coach.

Coastal Carolina head coach Kevin Schnall is set to interview for the Tennessee baseball coaching job, as first reported by Knox News Sentinel’s Mike Wilson.

Schnall will meet with Tennessee officials today as the Vols begin their search to replace Tony Vitello.

After being promoted to head coach at Coastal Carolina ahead of the 2025 season, Schnall made an immediate impact in his first year at the helm.

The Chanticleers posted a nation-best and school record 56 wins, securing the Sub Belt regular season title, conference tournament title, and sweeping through both the Conway Regional and Auburn Super Regional.

Coastal Carolina advanced to the College World Series final, where they fell to LSU in the national title series.

Following his debut season, Schnall received a contract extension through 2030, the school announced on Oct. 15.

The rapid success of Schnall and a deep postseason run have made him one of the most intriguing options in Tennessee’s coaching search.
