Yesterday at the NFL scouting combine VFL James Pearce turned some heads.
Pearce recorded an impressive 4.47 in the 40-yard dash on his second run — shortly after running a 4.50.
It was the first sub-4.5 40 of the combine.
Pearce’s 4.47 was faster than Christian McCaffrey, Derrick Henry, CeeDee Lamb, and Amon-Ra St. Brown ran at their combine appearances.
Not too bad for a guy with the frame of a defensive end.
Pearce likely made himself some extra money with that performance yesterday. He’s projected to go in the first round.
