Former Tennessee forward JP Estrella is on his way to Ann Arbor to join the National Champions.
Estrella, who officially entered the transfer portal on Tuesday, is transferring to Michigan after three seasons in Knoxville. He appeared in 61 career games for the Vols, averaging 6.3 points and 5.4 rebounds per contest.
The Scarborough (ME) native played a crucial role in Tennessee’s NCAA Tournament run this past season, helping the Vols reach their third straight Elite Eight. That included strong performances in the opening rounds against Miami (OH) and Virginia before Tennessee was eliminated by Michigan in Chicago on the Wolverines’ path to the national title.
Listed at 6‑foot‑11 and 240 pounds, Estrella shot 59.6 percent from the field while adding 0.8 assists and 0.4 blocks in 18.3 minutes per game.
