A brutal blow for the former Volunteer.

Kansas City Chiefs rookie defensive lineman Omarr Norman-Lott will miss the remainder of the 2025 NFL season after suffering a torn ACL in the third quarter of Sunday’s 31-0 win over Las Vegas, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.

Norman-Lott, a second-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, had appeared in five games during his rookie campaign, recording five tackles and registering his first career sack against the Eagles.

The injury is a major setback for the former Vol, who was beginning to carve out a role on one of the league’s top defensive units.

During his senior season in Knoxville, Norman-Lott posted 18 total tackles and four sacks, leading a defensive front that powered Tennessee to its first-ever College Football Playoff Appearance.

Though his rookie season ends prematurely, the flashes he showed in Kansas City suggest his best football is still ahead.
