For Presumably The First Time Ever, CFB Legend Phil Steele Uses The N-Word In His Magazine
By Cody McClure
There’s a first time for every…
Well.
Presumably, this will be the first and last time that Phil Steele types the N-word in his annual college football preview.
That’s right, folks.
After all these years. All the millions of words typed. All the research. All the perfection that is the Phil Steele College Football Preview.
Our hero finally typed the N-word in his magazine. According to CFB Home on X.
We all make mistakes. I’m sure if I typed a million words like he has I would eventually type the N-word, too.
By accident, of course. I mean… I assume Phil Steele typed it by accident.
OR perhaps this was a publicity stunt to try to sell magazines. Which, if it was, I’d just say… Bold.
Bold, Phil.
It’s certainly not the first time a white guy with a majestic mustache has typed out that word, and it won’t be the last.
Let’s just hope this doesn’t get Phil Steele canceled, as it doesn’t seem there was malicious intent behind the word being used.
Now, I know what you’re thinking if you’re not familiar with the story yet. How can someone accidentally type the N-word?
Right, like it’s not like using there instead of their. Or affect instead of effect.
It’s pretty much just that one word that means that one thing.
That is, until Noah Knigga committed to Eastern Michigan.
Knigga is a real college football player. He appears to be white, if you were wondering, thought it doesn’t really matter either way.
Knigga was a two-sport varsity athlete in high school and particularly excelled in football as a linebacker.
So much so that he’s now playing in college where his name was spelled incorrectly in Phil Steele’s magazine.
What a deal.
