Convenience Store Weigel’s Signs Entire Vol RB Room To NIL Deals

East Tennessee staple ‘Weigel’s’ is making headlines this week with its ‘NIL Week 2025,’ which capped off Friday with individual NIL deals for every member of the Volunteer running back room, Weigel’s announced on X.
The partnership includes sophomore Peyton Lewis, Knoxville native DeSean Bishop, Duke transfer Star Thomas, and true freshman Daune Morris, with the convenience store announcing their in-game incentives for the college football season later this afternoon.
The Tennessee running back room aren’t the only Vol student-athletes that have signed NIL deals with the gas station mainstay.
Earlier this week, Weigel’s expanded its NIL presence with new deals for UT outfielder Jay Abernathy, Lady Vol flamethrower Karlyn Pickens, the entire Lady Vol volleyball team, and basketball standouts Zee Spearman and Kaniya Boyd.
The company also announced new NIL deals with Vol hoops players Cade Phillips and J.P. Estrella, succeeding as the newest faces following Zakai Zeigler’s three-year partnership with Weigel’s.
