Praise be to God.
The Tennessee Titans have finally fired head coach Brian Callahan following a 1-5 start to the 2025 season, the team announced Monday afternoon.
Callahan, hired in January of 2024, failed to complete his second season in Nashville.
His tenure ends after just 23 games, finishing with an awful 4-19 record after taking over for Mike Vrabel.
Sunday’s 20-10 loss to the Raiders was the final straw in a season defined by offensive ineffectiveness and defensive collapse.
The Titans currently rank second to last in scoring, averaging just 13.8 points per game– ahead of only Cleveland.
On the other side of the ball, the defense is surrendering 26.8 points per game, placing them in the bottom fourth of the league.
Turnovers only made things worse for Callahan as Tennessee’s ten giveaways through six games are tied for third-most in the NFL, routinely killing drives.
Callahan was hired to revamp the offense and develop young talent, as he had with Joe Burrow during his time as the Bengals’ offensive coordinator, but the results never translated on the field.
The team looked disjointed, uninspired, and increasingly outmatched week in and week out.
No interim has been named yet.
The Titans welcome back Mike Vrabel this Sunday as they host New England at 1 p.m. ET.
