The Tennessee Volunteers stormed into Fayetteville last night and made the pigs squeal.
Starting pitcher Marcus Phillips was good. The bullpen was decent enough. And the bats were AWAKE.
Tennessee defeated Arkansas 10-7 in game one of the final SEC series of the regular season.
The Vols’ 10 runs were the most UT has scored in Arkansas’ Baum Stadium since 2006.
It was a good night. A good baseball game in general, and it appears that the networks have taken notice.
Game two has been bumped up to the SEC Network tonight instead of just streaming on the “plus” app.
Television. Cool. This news comes per ESPN’s Tom Hart.
Vols ace Liam Doyle will be on the mound as UT attempts to win its first series since taking down Ole Miss on the road just over a month ago.
First pitch is at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Let’s hope those bats are still hot.
