Tide Flip No. 1 Recruit In Nebraska

Kalen DeBoer has landed his quarterback in the class of 2026 on Tuesday. 

Jett Thomalla, a 4-star recruit and the No. 15 quarterback in the nation, is the top recruit in the state of Nebraska. 

Thomalla, an Elite 11 finalist, flipped his commitment from Iowa State to the University of Alabama after earning an offer from the Crimson Tide coaching staff on May 15th. 

The Tide’s newest commit chose Deboer and Co. over offers from Missouri, Arizona, and Virginia Tech. 

“It exceeded expectations,” Thomalla reportedly said after his unofficial visit to Alabama May 30th.

“My parents and I had some pretty high expectations going into it, but it for sure lived up to it, if not over the top with all of it.” 

When a place exceeds every expectation, you know it’s where you belong.
